“Let me be one of the first to recognize this blog. As someone who never understood this genuine lover of life, I have to admit, Umi has churned out an honest, uplifting and humble project.
Take notes, fellow interns, and graduates. She’s good.
This blog has the potential to be the Eat, Pray, Love of medicos, medical graduates and just about anyone who has gone through grueling college years only to find yourself lost at the other end.
You will find infinite blogs that may train you for various exams or help guide your medical career but this one right here will remind you to not lose yourself in that journey. Umi is as beautiful a writer as she is a person. She’s refreshingly honest and her words will remind you to be kind in a world that leaves you with no time for anyone, not even yourself.
In the very overused words of John Keating; “The human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”
PS: I might be partial to the author. We do share a love for avocados, after all.”
